Knife Focus – 6″ Boning Knife
Posted on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018
This time in our Knife Focus series, we’ll be taking a look at a knife that appears to be very specialised, but is in fact extremely versatile and capable of much more than you’d think – the 6″ Boning Knife.
The Money Saving Knife…
The thing that’s great about the 6″ Boning Knife is that it can actually save you money.
Buying boneless cuts of meat is more expensive than buying those with the bone in.
What’s more, if you go to the shop, or local butcher, and buy yourself a whole leg of lamb and then bone it out yourself you’ll get a lot more meat for half the cost!
It’ll take you probably twenty minutes, but with the 6″ Boning Knife it’s safe, easy and extremely satisfying.
The knife itself has a lovely curved blade so it’s fantastic for getting nice and close to the bone or joint and taking the meat off cleanly, but it’s also great for vegetable prep work and other general tasks in your kitchen.
It’s also perfect for anyone into field sports, making boning even the smallest of game birds quick and easy.
What Else Makes the 6″ Boning Knife so Good?
Centre Point Balance (CPB) – the beautifully contoured ergonomically designed handle incorporates our unique Centre Point Balance technology. With the weight of the knife balanced at the central point, you get excellent control and precision.
German Steel – the high quality blade is made with X50CrMoV15 German Steel. This steel takes and holds a long lasting ‘edge’ which means that your knife remains highly durable for years’ of use.
Zero Pressure Point (ZPP) technology – our unique Zero Pressure Point handle is designed to eliminate the risk of calluses forming after prolonged use, this is a real must for home and professional Chefs alike.
Our Team Love Using it Too…
The 6″ boning knife is perfect for meat work, it’s also a hybrid of a paring knife, utility knife and vegetable knife.
Consequently, it’s ideal for veg prep and as a general purpose knife, it’s so much more than a boning knife!”
